Overview
MindHits is a browser based assessment platform that hosts 15 psychological questionnaires built from published, public domain instruments. Each test names its source, licence and scoring key, and every result is computed locally in the browser without an account or a server side record of the answers.
Key Features
- Traceable item provenance: Every assessment cites the instrument, its authors and the page the items were drawn from, so the scoring key used by the code can be read independently. The catalogue covers Big Five (IPIP-50), Mini-IPIP, IPIP-NEO-120, Rosenberg self-esteem, WHO-5, GAD-7, Dark Triad SD3, RIASEC and a cognitive reflection test.
- Visible arithmetic: Results return the raw total, the range it could occupy and where inside that span the score landed. Reverse keyed items are flipped according to the published key, and literature cut-offs such as 15 on the Rosenberg scale or 29 on the WHO-5 are cited rather than invented.
- Account free, local scoring: Answers are scored and stored in the browser. There is no sign-up, no email field and no server retaining responses, though the trade-off is that clearing site data or changing devices erases the results.
- Progress saving and verification: Long instruments such as the 120 item IPIP-NEO can be finished across sittings, and an automated suite tests scoring, reverse keying and skipped question handling with a single command.
Target Audience
Researchers, students and self-directed learners who want defensible personality, wellbeing or career questionnaires and will accept fewer conveniences in exchange for verifiable methodology. The site is explicit that scores are scale positions rather than population percentiles and that its wellbeing measures screen rather than diagnose.
