Overview
ExcelForAll is a browser based training platform that teaches spreadsheet skills by placing learners inside a working grid and marking their work. Instead of watching video walkthroughs, users type real formulas across 84 exercises organised into 17 parts, from selecting a first cell to lookups, charts and practical challenges.
Key Features
- Formula aware answer checking: A hand typed total in a SUM exercise is marked wrong because the checker inspects the formula stored in the cell, so a missing row or mistaken range is named as the specific error rather than flagged as generically incorrect.
- 84 exercises across 17 parts: The curriculum climbs from clicking a single cell through basic formulas, SUM and AVERAGE, IF and logic, COUNTIF and SUMIF, text functions, lookups, charts and closing challenges, with most tasks running two to eight minutes.
- Prepared feedback and staged hints: Explanations for likely mistakes are written in advance rather than generated on the spot, hints appear one at a time, and a worked answer is available once a learner runs out of attempts.
- Synced progress and a verifiable certificate: Account holders keep their position across devices, and finishing the full course issues a certificate in the learner's name with a public link for independent verification.
Target Audience
Built for absolute beginners who have never opened a spreadsheet, and for self taught analysts who need to close specific gaps in logic, lookups or charts without working through a complete course.
