Overview
spinyield is a monetization platform that inserts a single sponsored line into the status bar of AI coding agents like Claude Code while they process tasks. Developers earn 70% of every advertising dollar generated from impressions, clicks, and signups, with payouts starting at $25 via Stripe. The system uses proof-of-inference to prevent fraud, ensuring each impression is tied to a real AI session.
Key Features
- Sponsored Status Bar Line: A small, non-intrusive ad appears in the agent's thinking spinner, never in code or output. Developers see one line of text during long tasks, and advertisers bid for that placement in a live auction.
- Proof-of-Inference Anti-Fraud: Every impression is cryptographically bound to a signed session token from a real AI inference. Faking an impression costs more than it pays, making bot farms unprofitable. Additional layers include frequency caps, cooldown gates, plausibility scoring, and collusion detection.
- Three Reward Pools: Advertiser budgets split into pools for impressions (70% to devs), clicks (70% to devs), and signups (70% to devs). For every $100 spent, $70 goes to developers across these pools, with spinyield retaining 30%.
- Privacy-First Design: The client only sends its version, editor type, and a session nonce to request an ad line. Code, prompts, and files never leave the developer's machine. The system fails silent if the API is down, and uninstallation is total and instant.
Target Audience
spinyield targets developers who use AI coding agents like Claude Code and want to passively earn money from their waiting time without compromising privacy or workflow.
